Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to Sage – Second Brain (the "Application" or "Sage") for iOS, provided by Maxim Ermolaev ("we", "us" or the "Service Provider"). By using Sage, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Contact: ermolaevm22@gmail.com.

Eligibility and Your Account

Sage's AI-powered service is intended for users aged 18 and over. You must be legally able to agree to these Terms and use the service in a supported location. Sign in with Apple is used to authenticate access to our backend. Keep your device and Apple account secure and notify us if you believe your Sage account has been misused.

The Service

Sage provides tools to capture notes and attachments, organize information into categories and threads, and generate AI insights. Some features require an internet connection, an authenticated session and third-party services. Processing may be delayed or unavailable because of connectivity, system scheduling, service limits or maintenance. Features and availability may change over time.

Your Content and Privacy

You retain your rights in the notes, attachments and other content you submit. You grant us permission to process that content and provide it to the service providers needed to deliver the features you use, as described in the Sage Privacy Policy. This permission is limited to providing, securing and supporting the service and meeting legal obligations; it does not transfer ownership of your content to us.

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit your content, including information about other people. Do not use Sage to upload unlawful content, infringe others' rights, bypass safety or access controls, interfere with the service or misuse our infrastructure.

Your local database and private iCloud account store your notes and attachments. Sage is not a guaranteed backup service. Keep independent copies of information that matters to you. Signing out does not delete local content. Deleting a note syncs to your devices when they connect, but existing device backups may retain earlier copies. The Privacy Policy explains cloud processing, retention and deletion requests.

AI-Generated Content

AI-generated categories, summaries and insights may contain errors, omit context or draw incorrect conclusions. Check important statements against your original notes and sources. Sage is a personal information tool, not a medical, mental-health, legal, financial or other professional advisory service. Do not rely on its output for diagnosis, treatment, emergencies or decisions requiring qualified professional judgment.

Fees, Subscriptions and Trials

Access to Sage after sign-in requires an active Sage Plus subscription, including an eligible free trial. The applicable price, billing period, included features and any trial conditions are displayed before you confirm a purchase. These Terms do not themselves start a subscription or authorize a charge.

Purchases made through Apple's App Store are billed by Apple under the terms shown at purchase. An auto-renewing subscription renews unless cancelled through your Apple account. Manage or cancel it in iOS Settings under your name, then Subscriptions. If a trial is offered and you do not wish to renew, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Deleting Sage or signing out does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Refund requests for Apple purchases are handled by Apple. See the Sage Refund Policy and Apple's refund guidance. Prices and availability may differ by region. Any changes to an existing subscription are subject to Apple's rules and applicable law.

Intellectual Property and Third-Party Services

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Application for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms and the applicable App Store license terms. Rights in the Application, its branding and software remain with us or our licensors. Do not copy, redistribute or reverse engineer the Application except where applicable law permits it.

Apple, Google and other providers operate services on which Sage relies. Links to external websites do not make us responsible for their content or practices. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. You are responsible for your internet and mobile-data charges.

Availability, Suspension and Liability

We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security issues or legal requirements. We may modify or discontinue features, with notice where required by law. You may stop using Sage at any time; cancellation of a paid subscription must be handled separately through its billing provider.

To the extent permitted by law, Sage is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without a promise of uninterrupted operation or error-free AI output. We are not responsible for losses caused by reliance on inaccurate generated content, failure to maintain your own backups, or circumstances outside our reasonable control, except where applicable law makes us responsible. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Changes and Contact
